UAE Strengthens Its Pioneering Position Across Various Domains Under Wise Leadership

The UAE is strengthening its leadership in various fields, guided by President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and other key leaders. Abdulrahman bin Mohammed Al Owais, Minister of Health and Prevention and Minister of State for Federal National Council Affairs, highlighted this during the opening of the second regular session of the 18th legislative chapter of the Federal National Council.

Al Owais noted that this session marks a new phase in national and institutional work. It aims to build on past achievements while addressing the aspirations of the people. This approach aligns with the Shura principles established by the UAE's founding fathers, including the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.

The UAE's political landscape is evolving with a growing culture of participation. This development is part of a political empowerment programme initiated by the late Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan on the 34th National Day. The programme aims to enhance cooperation between government bodies and promote integration between legislative and executive authorities.

The second session holds significant national importance as it coincides with ongoing "UAE Year of Sustainability" initiatives. These initiatives were extended throughout 2024 following an announcement by President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

Al Owais emphasised that cooperation between the government and the Federal National Council is crucial for national growth. The Ministry of State for Federal National Council Affairs plays a vital role in fostering this collaboration. It also raises awareness about parliamentary life and political participation to support sustainable development.

The current legislative term builds upon previous successes, focusing on integration, cooperation, and concerted efforts. This approach aims to catalyse national growth, aligning with the forward-looking vision of UAE's wise leadership.
