UAE-China Diplomatic Relations Panel Discusses Future Strategies On 40th Anniversary Of Ties

The Abu Dhabi Music & Arts Foundation (ADMAF) and the Anwar Gargash Diplomatic Academy (AGDA) recently organised a panel discussion. This event marked 40 years of diplomatic relations between the UAE and China. The discussion, titled "Intercultural Relations Exchange between UAE and China: Strategy for the Future and Challenges," was held in Abu Dhabi.

Huda Ibrahim Al Khamis-Kanoo, founder of ADMAF, highlighted the importance of this partnership. She stated, "We are working in partnership with the Anwar Gargash Diplomatic Academy (AGDA) to provide quality initiatives that will strengthen the UAE's position on the global scale in the arts and culture sector." She emphasised their shared commitment to enhancing cultural diplomacy through education and innovation.

Panel Celebrates 40 Years of UAE-China Relations

Nickolay Mladenov, AGDA Director-General, noted that this celebration underscores the robust ties between the UAE and China. He stressed cultural diplomacy's role as a soft power tool that builds communication bridges. Mladenov stated, "Through this symposium, we seek to develop forward-thinking, innovative strategies that open new avenues for cultural cooperation between the UAE and China."

The forum brought together senior diplomats and experts to explore opportunities and challenges in intercultural connections. It aimed to foster a progressive future by addressing complexities in strengthening these ties. The focus was on modernity, innovation, and preserving cultural identity while promoting mutual understanding.

Al Khamis-Kanoo expressed enthusiasm about deepening partnerships across various sectors like arts, culture, economy, and technology. She mentioned that both countries share a vision for progress driven by coexistence, peace, and mutual understanding. Mladenov further elaborated on broadening cooperation across cultural, economic, and technological spheres.
