UAE Chief AI Officers Conclude Insightful Journey To Leading US Technology Companies
The UAE's Chief AI Officers have wrapped up a pioneering knowledge programme, marking the first of its kind in the region. They visited 13 top technology companies in the United States, engaging in over 20 interactive experiences. This initiative aimed to gain insights into digital innovations, connect with global industry leaders, and explore solutions for national strategies in digital transformation and artificial intelligence.
The UAE delegation, led by Mohammed bin Taliah, Chief of Government Services, included Dr. Mohammed Al Kuwaiti, Head of Cybersecurity. The tour was organised by the Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications Office alongside the Dubai Centre for Artificial Intelligence. It featured meetings with global tech leaders to discuss collaboration opportunities and future advancements.

During their visit to Google, the delegation learned about AI advancements shaping autonomous decision-making. They explored platforms like Google AgentSpace and Google Gemini for secure AI solutions. Additionally, they discovered how Google Cloud supports sustainability through renewable energy and carbon-tracking technologies.
At NVIDIA, the delegation was introduced to advanced GPUs and data center infrastructure powering modern AI systems. They explored platforms such as NVIDIA Build for real-time video analytics and NVIDIA Omniverse for creating digital twins and industrial simulations. The programme also highlighted NVIDIA's new architecture, Blackwell.
The visit to Palantir showcased the company's vision for data-driven partnerships. A discussion moderated by Saeed Al Falasi featured Noam Perski and Aki Jain from Palantir, focusing on AI investments' value and impact. At OpenAI, interactive showcases highlighted ChatGPT's unique Emirati experience and insights on digital transformation in the UAE.
Amazon provided a closer look at AI applications and automation during their visit. In a session titled "Voice of Customers," Deloitte shared real-world AI best practices driving enterprise success. Amazon also showcased innovations like The Spheres experience and Amazon Go.
Strengthening Global Partnerships
The US-UAE Business Council facilitated discussions on deepening strategic partnerships and fostering long-term collaboration. Meanwhile, IBM focused on responsible and sovereign AI as key priorities for future adoption phases.
Microsoft's headquarters was the final stop of the tour. Discussions centered on artificial intelligence's future and cybersecurity. The delegation explored Microsoft's technological breakthroughs in cloud data sovereignty and organisational readiness.
Empowering National Talent
Omar Sultan Al Olama emphasised that under its leadership's guidance, the UAE is committed to enhancing its global leadership in digital landscapes. Efforts include keeping pace with technological developments, forming strong partnerships with leading companies, and investing in innovative solutions supporting national strategies in digital transformation.
Mohammed bin Taliah noted that these visits offered unique opportunities to strengthen collaboration with global tech companies while exchanging expertise to drive innovation in government services.
Advancing UAE’s Vision
The Chief AI Officers were selected following approval by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to establish this role across ministries. Selection criteria included understanding evolving technological landscapes and implementing AI solutions enhancing government operations.
This initiative supports advancing the UAE 2031 Vision for global leadership in AI and digital technologies while aligning with goals of the UAE National Artificial Intelligence Strategy 2031.
