UAE Charity Delivers 51 Tonnes Of Winter Clothing To Gaza Under Operation Chivalrous Knight 3

The UAE’s International Charity Organisation is expanding support for Gaza under Operation Chivalrous Knight 3 and the Warmth & Safety campaign, sending 51 tonnes of winter clothing and medical supplies through the winter relief air bridge to help residents cope with harsh conditions and falling temperatures across the Gaza Strip.

Relief officials state that the UAE’s wider aid to Gaza has already reached about 110,000 tonnes of food, medical and shelter materials, with an estimated total value of around $2.8 billion, reflecting sustained humanitarian engagement as living conditions worsen during the winter period.

Hammoud Al Afari, Relief Operations Coordinator for Operation Chivalrous Knight 3, said that the latest contribution by the International Charity Organisation forms part of the Warmth & Safety initiative, which is designed to provide winter clothing for Gaza’s residents and is expected to benefit around one million people distributed across the Gaza Strip.

At Sharjah International Airport, Dr. Ali Abdullah Al Shihi, Assistant Secretary-General of the International Charity Organisation, explained that the current air shipment contains nearly 95,000 pieces of winter clothing, weighing 51 tonnes in total, with air transport selected to speed up arrival and reduce the impact of severe cold on vulnerable families.

Al Afari outlined that Operation Chivalrous Knight 3 also includes several health and infrastructure projects, such as field hospitals inside Gaza, a floating hospital stationed in Al Arish, Egypt, and six water desalination plants that operate daily to purify and pump safe drinking water into the Strip for civilian use.

Al Afari added that medical initiatives under the operation cover treatment plans for 1,000 children and continued arrangements to transport and treat around 1,000 cancer patients in the UAE, alongside assistance for bakeries, provision of prosthetic limbs, and other essential relief supplies requested by Gaza’s population.

Dr. Al Shihi confirmed that air deliveries are being supported by regular sea shipments to Gaza, carrying ambulances, dialysis machines, medical devices, food parcels, health kits and additional essential items that help residents manage difficult humanitarian conditions, noting that a further aircraft is scheduled to depart within the next ten days to continue the winter-focused support.

Al Afari stressed that these combined efforts under Operation Chivalrous Knight 3 and the Warmth & Safety campaign demonstrate the UAE’s firm commitment to assisting the brotherly Palestinian people, with the UAE and its people maintaining long-term humanitarian, medical and logistical backing until the current crisis in Gaza is overcome.
