UAE Blood Donation Society Hosts Diplomatic Gathering To Celebrate Year Of Community And Humanitarian Efforts

The UAE Blood Donation Society, alongside the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Emirates Palace, and the Mohammed bin Khalid Al Nahyan Cultural Centre, organised a notable diplomatic event. This was part of the third "Ramadan Together" initiative at Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental. The gathering highlighted the UAE's dedication to international cooperation in humanitarian efforts.

Attendees included heads of diplomatic missions accredited to the UAE, senior government officials, private sector leaders, and third sector representatives. This event celebrated the Year of Community, an initiative by President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan for 2025. It emphasised social cohesion and humanitarian engagement.

The event coincided with Zayed Humanitarian Day, reinforcing the UAE's commitment to the philanthropic legacy of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. Participating ambassadors praised this noble initiative during the gathering. They recognised Ramadan as a time for compassion and unity among nations.

Ambassadors also commended the UAE’s leadership under President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan for its significant contributions to humanitarian causes regionally and globally. They noted that such initiatives reflect the UAE's enduring commitment to aiding those in need and fostering community harmony across diverse cultures.

Advisor Dr. Ali Ahmed Al Ansari, Chairman of the UAE Blood Donation Society, addressed attendees. He highlighted that the event demonstrates the society’s dedication to promoting voluntary blood donation as a shared humanitarian responsibility. He stated, "At the UAE Blood Donation Society, we believe that humanitarian generosity is an intrinsic part of our nation’s identity."
