UAE-Spain Bilateral Ties Strengthened As Ambassador Presents Credentials To King Felipe VI
Saleh Ahmad Al Suwaidi has formally assumed duties as Ambassador of the UAE to the Kingdom of Spain after presenting credentials to His Majesty Felipe VI, King of Spain, during an official ceremony in Madrid, underscoring the ongoing development of relations between the two countries.
During the ceremony, Al Suwaidi passed on the greetings of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to His Majesty Felipe VI. Al Suwaidi also conveyed greetings from His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

Al Suwaidi relayed the UAE leadership’s wishes for continued progress and prosperity for the government and people of Spain. In response, His Majesty Felipe VI sent his greetings to President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, and Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed.
The King of Spain also expressed hopes for further progress and development for the government and people of the UAE. His Majesty Felipe VI wished Al Suwaidi success in carrying out responsibilities in Spain and stressed Spain’s readiness to offer all possible support throughout the ambassador’s mission.
His Majesty Felipe VI underlined the importance of enhancing bilateral relations between the UAE and Spain across different sectors. The remarks reflected an interest in expanding cooperation and maintaining close coordination as Al Suwaidi begins work as ambassador, representing the UAE at a time of ongoing international engagement.
Al Suwaidi expressed pride in representing the UAE in Spain and affirmed a commitment to deepen cooperation in various areas. Both sides discussed existing areas of collaboration between the UAE and Spain and examined ways to further develop these ties to support the shared interests and aspirations of both governments and peoples.
