Third UAE Aid Ship Arrives In Gaza With Vital Supplies In Operation 'Chivalrous Knight 3'
The United Arab Emirates has once again demonstrated its commitment to humanitarian support by dispatching the third aid ship to the Gaza Strip, under Operation "Chivalrous Knight 3". This latest shipment, which docked at the Port of Al Arish, carried a substantial 4,630 tonnes of relief supplies. The cargo included essential items such as food and medical supplies, children's formula, shelter materials, winter clothing, and other necessities aimed at providing relief to the affected Palestinian people in Gaza.
The initiative, directed by H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in Al Dhafra Region and Chairman of the Emirates Red Crescent (ERC), underscores the UAE's ongoing efforts to support and meet the needs of the people in Gaza. Rashid Mubarak Al Mansouri, Secretary-General of ERC, was present at the ship's arrival and highlighted that this batch of humanitarian aid is part of a broader strategy to bolster the UAE's relief operations in the Gaza Strip.
Al Mansouri further elaborated on the meticulous planning involved in distributing the aid. This process was coordinated with ERC teams on the ground in Gaza to ensure that the supplies reach those most in need, particularly in areas hardest hit by crises. The ERC's commitment to addressing humanitarian challenges in Palestine, especially concerning food security and essential supplies, remains steadfast.
The third aid ship embarked from the Port of Fujairah on 23rd March with a detailed inventory: 4,218.3 tonnes of food supplies, 370.2 tonnes of shelter materials, and 41.6 tonnes of medical aid. Additionally, it transported six water tanks, two septic tanks, and one diesel storage tank. The Emirates Red Crescent collaborated with the Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation and the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation to gather these crucial supplies.
This operation is a continuation of the UAE's dedicated efforts to alleviate suffering and provide necessary humanitarian assistance to civilians in the Gaza Strip. Through Operation "Chivalrous Knight 3", the UAE reaffirms its position as a leading contributor to global humanitarian causes, striving to make a tangible difference in the lives of those affected by conflict and hardship.
