UAE's 7th Aid Ship Docks At Al Arish Port To Deliver Humanitarian Support For Gaza
The "Zayed Humanitarian Ship," the seventh UAE aid vessel, has docked at Egypt's Al Arish Port. This event aligns with Ramadan and precedes Zayed Humanitarian Day, aiming to deliver aid to Gaza. The ship's arrival was marked by a delegation including Ahmed Sari Al Mazrouei from the Emirates Red Crescent (ERC) and Egyptian officials.
In conjunction with the ship's docking, the delegation visited the UAE Floating Hospital in Al Arish. This hospital is part of Operation Chivalrous Knight 3 and offers medical services to Palestinians from Gaza. During their visit, they explored various departments, interacted with patients, and assessed their health conditions.
The ship embarked from Dubai's Hamriyah Port on March 1 as part of Operation Chivalrous Knight 3. It carries 5,820 tonnes of humanitarian supplies, including food, medicines, medical equipment, dates, and shelter materials. This shipment aims to address the urgent needs of Palestinians in Gaza amid an ongoing crisis.
This initiative reflects the UAE leadership's commitment to humanitarian efforts. The country consistently provides aid and relief to affected populations worldwide. The operation underscores this dedication by delivering essential supplies to those in need.
Numerous charitable organisations are involved in this relief mission. These include the Emirates Red Crescent, Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan Charitable Foundation, Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation, Fujairah Charity Association, Dar Al Ber Society, Saqr bin Mohammed Al Qasimi Foundation for Charity and Humanitarian Works, Hamad Bin Mohammed Al Sharqi Foundation for Humanitarian Work, Sharjah Charity International, International Charity Organisation, Easa Saleh Al Gurg Charity Foundation, Al Etihad Charity Foundation, and Al Ihsan Charity Association.
The delegation also inspected UAE aid warehouses in Al Arish. These facilities store essential supplies intended for distribution to Gaza residents. The inspection ensured that all resources are ready for timely delivery to those in need.
This aid shipment is part of a broader series of initiatives by the UAE aimed at providing urgent relief to Palestinians. It reaffirms the nation's dedication to supporting humanitarian causes within the region.
