UAE Dispatches Over 124,000 Parcels of Aid to Gaza Strip Residents

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has once again demonstrated its commitment to humanitarian assistance, this time focusing on the needs of the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip. Under the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the UAE launched the Gallant Knight 3 humanitarian operation. This initiative has been pivotal in delivering essential supplies to those in need within the region.

On Sunday, the operation successfully distributed over 124,000 parcels. These parcels contained a variety of items including food, medical supplies, hygiene kits tailored for children and the elderly, lighting projectors, and blankets. The distribution specifics included 183 food parcels, 23 hygiene kits, food baskets for children, 1,040 items of heavy winter clothing, 3,402 undergarments parcels, and 38 blankets.

Furthermore, the Gallant Knight 3 operation has been instrumental in supporting 28 charity kitchens within the Gaza Strip. These kitchens have provided 13,280 meals that were distributed to 53,120 beneficiaries. Additionally, a subsidized bread project was initiated, producing an extra 250 loaves of bread for 2,500 beneficiaries.

In an effort to further support the Palestinian people, the UAE dispatched five automatic bakeries to the Egyptian city of El Arish. These bakeries are set to enter Gaza to enhance local food production capabilities. As of February 17th, the UAE's aid to Palestinians under Operation Gallant Knight 3 has surpassed 15,700 tons. This was facilitated by the dispatch of 162 cargo planes loaded with essential supplies.

One of the most significant contributions made by the UAE is the establishment of six desalination plants in Gaza. These plants are capable of producing 1.2 million gallons of water per day. This initiative directly benefits the residents of Gaza by providing them with much-needed access to clean water.

The UAE's unwavering support for the Palestinian people through initiatives like Gallant Knight 3 underscores its commitment to humanitarian aid and international solidarity. By providing essential supplies and infrastructure improvements, the UAE is helping to alleviate some of the challenges faced by those living in conflict-affected areas.
