UAE Aid Convoy Enters Gaza Strip Under Operation ‘Gallant Knight 3’ Initiative

The United Arab Emirates has made a significant move to support the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip by launching a new aid convoy, named Gallant Knight 3. This humanitarian operation saw the entry of 14 trucks loaded with over 300 tonnes of essential supplies through Egypt's Rafah Border Crossing. The convoy is part of the UAE's ongoing efforts to provide relief and support to Palestinians during their challenging times.

The aid includes a variety of critical supplies such as tents, medical provisions, and food items, aimed at alleviating the suffering of the Gaza Strip's residents and meeting their basic needs. This initiative is a testament to the UAE's commitment to humanitarian assistance and its dedication to supporting communities in distress.

As of 18th February 2024, the UAE's contributions through the Gallant Knight 3 operation have been substantial, with more than 15,755 tonnes of aid delivered. This assistance has been transported via 163 cargo planes, two cargo ships, and 476 trucks, showcasing the extensive efforts made by the UAE to reach those in need.

In addition to material aid, the UAE has also focused on healthcare support within Gaza. The field hospital established by the UAE has treated over 5,123 cases, providing essential medical care to those affected by the ongoing challenges in the area.

Addressing the critical need for clean water, the UAE has established six desalination plants in Gaza, boasting a production capacity of 1.2 million gallons per day. This initiative significantly benefits the local population by providing them with access to clean drinking water.

Furthermore, in preparation for further assistance, five automatic bakeries have been dispatched to the Egyptian city of Al Arish. These bakeries are set to enter the Gaza Strip soon, aiming to address food security issues and ensure that residents have access to basic food supplies.

The continuous support provided by the UAE through initiatives like Gallant Knight 3 underscores its commitment to humanitarian causes and its role in offering aid to those in dire need across the globe.
