UAE AI Camp Launches Its Sixth Edition To Foster Future Skills In Youth
The National Program for Artificial Intelligence, in partnership with the National Program for Coders, is set to launch the sixth edition of the UAE Artificial Intelligence Camp on July 29th. Running for five weeks, the camp aims to empower youth by providing them with future skills and the latest AI tools. This initiative will help them create innovative solutions to challenges and drive technological advancements in vital sectors.
The UAE AI Camp targets children, students, AI and coding experts, and various community groups. It covers seven main areas: AI's future, data science and machine learning, AI in education, healthcare, finance sectors, web development and robotics, AI ethics and governance, cybersecurity, and virtual and augmented reality. Workshops are conducted in collaboration with government bodies and leading tech companies.

Omar Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications, highlighted that the camp reflects His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum's vision. The aim is to design a future led by generations capable of steering the artificial intelligence sector. Al Olama noted that the annual camp's broad participation showcases growing community awareness and adoption of future technologies.
The sixth edition of the camp offers interactive workshops involving government and private entities until late August. These activities enhance participants' competitiveness in hackathons across the Arab region in generative AI. The camp also addresses cybersecurity's importance by teaching how to identify its challenges, understand standards and best practices, and adopt responsible AI in educational institutions.
The camp also features activities designed to teach robotics interactively. Participants will learn to use robots in daily life while tackling various challenges. They will understand computer vision basics related to robotics, including image processing concepts and designing robots that can interact with humans.
Supporting a Sustainable Digital Economy
Al Olama emphasized that the camp is part of broader government initiatives aimed at enhancing a sustainable digital economy. It seeks to establish the UAE’s leadership and global competitiveness in future fields by fostering cooperation between government entities, private sector organizations, and global technology leaders in artificial intelligence.
In its previous five editions, the UAE AI Camp has seen over 30,000 participants from various educational backgrounds engage in training workshops aimed at developing their skills with cutting-edge technological techniques.
