UAE AI Camp Concludes Seventh Edition Featuring Over 70 Diverse Workshops For Youth Skills Development

The UAE Artificial Intelligence Camp recently concluded its seventh edition, organised by the National Programme for Artificial Intelligence in partnership with the National Programme for Coders. This initiative aimed to equip a new generation with skills essential for digital transformation, focusing on developing and applying AI solutions. The camp emphasised technological innovations that promote progress and sustainability across key sectors.

Running from mid-July to mid-August, the camp featured over 70 knowledge sessions, interactive workshops, including nine virtual ones, hackathons, challenges, and lectures. It engaged diverse groups—children, students, young professionals, and experts in AI and coding—offering a comprehensive learning journey centred around seven themes: AI's future, data science and machine learning, smart applications in education, healthcare and finance, web and robotics development, AI governance and ethics, cybersecurity, and virtual and augmented reality.

UAE AI Camp Wraps Up with 70 Workshops

A significant aspect of the camp was providing interactive AI experiences for young learners. Children used intelligent robotic kits with AI-powered sensors and cameras to explore how AI responds to real-world inputs. They also participated in fun educational activities with their parents, including storytelling games and exercises in robotics and design. These activities enhanced creativity while preparing them with future-ready skills.

The camp was organised with support from various government entities, private organisations, and leading tech companies. Collaborators included the Gulf Cooperation Council's AI Committee, Emirates Global Aluminium, Abu Dhabi Customs, Dubai Police, Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy, Dubai Future Labs, Farjan Dubai among others. Notable tech giants like Microsoft, Meta, Huawei also contributed alongside local influencers.

The seventh edition offered workshops on creative AI topics such as government readiness for global advancements and leadership in emerging technologies. It also covered future skills development and how AI can aid environmental protection. Cybersecurity awareness sessions were held for all age groups to address challenges and opportunities in this field.

Saqr binghalib highlighted that the camp serves as a national platform focused on developing UAE youth's digital skills. "It offers an innovative learning environment where theory meets hands-on practice," he said. This approach inspires young minds while empowering national talent to foster a culture of innovation for future generations.

Broad Participation Across Society

Since its inception, the UAE Artificial Intelligence Camp has attracted strong interest from all societal segments. Over 34,000 participants from various educational levels have engaged in events designed to develop their skills using the latest technological innovations.

The camp also explored emerging technologies through workshops on AI security and cybercrime alongside entrepreneurship sessions aimed at boosting productivity. Prompt engineering was another focus area to enhance performance across different sectors.

Saqr binghalib added that the camp opens new horizons for participants by deepening their understanding of AI tools and applications. This prepares them to contribute towards creating a smarter future aligned with sustainability goals.

The UAE AI Camp embodies leadership’s vision that investing in people is crucial for national progress. By nurturing talent through such initiatives it ensures readiness for upcoming challenges while fostering growth within vital industries.
