UAE ADMA International Dominates Day Two Of Abu Dhabi World Grappling Championship In Al Ain

The Abu Dhabi World Grappling Championship 2025, organised by International Vision Sports Management (IVSM), is underway at the ADNEC Centre Al Ain. The event has seen intense matches and impressive performances. By the end of Day Two, ADMA International from the UAE led the medal tally, showcasing strong performances on their home ground.

Saturday's events featured a significant turnout in the amateur and youth categories. Athletes from various countries displayed high-level skills and determination. Commando Group, another UAE representative, secured second place, while Kazakhstan’s Samat Ramazanov Academy held third position.

ADMA International Leads Abu Dhabi Grappling Championship

The championship is supported by the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi and falls under the Abu Dhabi Jiu-Jitsu Pro (AJP) umbrella. Notable attendees included Saeed Al Dhaheri from the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi, Tareq Al Bahri of IVSM, and Dr Muhammad Fawzy from the Egyptian Jiu-Jitsu Federation.

Tareq Al Bahri expressed satisfaction with the participation levels. "We are extremely pleased with the turnout we witnessed today from both athletes and spectators. The passion for the sport was evident across all ages and levels, reflecting the growing impact of this championship on the global sporting calendar," he stated.

Al Bahri also highlighted Emirati clubs' achievements: "We are proud of the outstanding performance delivered by our Emirati clubs and academies today, who secured a significant number of medals and topped the championship standings." This success indicates grappling's increasing popularity in the UAE.

Emirati athlete Hamda Almutwa excelled in her category. She said, "I’m happy to be part of this championship. The level of competition is high, and the number of participants is impressive." Her preparation paid off as she won gold in the Girls’ Under-14 / 35kg division.

International Competitors Shine

Tajikistan's Khushbakht Rasulov also celebrated victory in his division. He remarked, "I’m a gold medallist, and it feels amazing. This is one of the best tournaments I’ve ever been part of." His first visit to Al Ain left a positive impression due to its organisation and atmosphere.

The championship will conclude on Sunday with final playoff matches in professional divisions. Winners will receive medals and cash prizes as part of this prestigious event's closing ceremony.
