Tuvalu Prime Minister Feleti Penitala Teo Explores Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque In Abu Dhabi

Feleti Penitala Teo, the Prime Minister of Tuvalu, recently visited the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi. He was accompanied by his wife, Madame Tausaga Teo, and Dr. Tauisi M Taupo, the Ambassador of Tuvalu to the UAE. The delegation was warmly received by Dr. Yousif Abdallah Alobaidli, Director-General of the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Centre.

Dr. Alobaidli led the group on a tour through the mosque's halls and courtyards. He explained the mosque's historical significance and its cultural mission to promote coexistence, tolerance, and openness. These values are inspired by the UAE’s Founding Father and aim to foster global understanding among different civilizations.

Tuvalu Prime Minister Visits Abu Dhabi Mosque

The Prime Minister and his delegation also paid their respects at the mausoleum of the late Sheikh Zayed. They reflected on his wisdom and vision for peace, which continue to influence the UAE’s culture of tolerance today. This visit underscored Sheikh Zayed's enduring legacy in promoting harmony.

Hasher Aldhaheri, a cultural tour specialist, highlighted the mosque’s artistic and architectural features during their visit. The mosque showcases Islamic art and design from various eras, blending diverse architectural styles into a harmonious structure that celebrates cultural unity and creativity.

As part of their visit, Feleti Penitala Teo received a commemorative gift symbolising the mosque’s artistic beauty. Additionally, he was presented with "Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque: Lights of Peace." This publication offers a visual journey through the mosque’s unique architecture and engineering brilliance.

The book features award-winning photographs from the "Spaces of Light" competition, capturing the mosque's splendour. This gift serves as a lasting memory of their visit to this iconic site in Abu Dhabi, reflecting its artistic grandeur and cultural significance.
