Turtle Bay Hospital Project Advances: A Boost For Red Sea Healthcare
Red Sea Global (RSG) has provided an update on the progress of the Turtle Bay Hospital project. Situated in The Red Sea's Turtle Bay area, the hospital will offer "world-class healthcare services" to residents, workers, and visitors within the expansive 1.5 million square meter waterfront site.
According to RSG, once the first phase of resorts is completed next year, The Red Sea destination is expected to attract around 300,000 guests annually. Additionally, the Turtle Bay area will eventually become home to approximately 14,000 employees and their families, who will have convenient access to quality healthcare services.

The Ministry of Health (MOH) has approved the designs for Turtle Bay Hospital. This marks the first project funded by the Public Investment Fund (PIF) to receive MOH's architectural approval. Nicholas King, Group Chief Development Officer at RSG, stated that securing this approval is a significant achievement for the team.
"Our vision for Turtle Bay Hospital to be a state-of-the-art facility is part of our broader ambitions to deliver a robust healthcare ecosystem for our growing project portfolio," King said. He emphasized that the well-being of guests and employees is a top priority.
RSG has partnered with multiple Saudi entities for the construction, operation, and supply of medical equipment for Turtle Bay Hospital. Abdullah Saeed Alsayed & Partners Contracting Company has been awarded the construction contract and will commence mobilization on-site soon.
In early 2022, Steward Alf Global Healthcare Company, a joint venture between Alf Healthcare and Steward Health Care International, was granted the operator contract. Alf Healthcare also secured the medical equipment contract earlier this year.
Healthcare Services
Once operational, Turtle Bay Hospital will offer primary and secondary care services, including diagnostics, internal medicine, cardiology, urology, orthopedics, women's health, and emergency care. A hyperbaric chamber will be part of the Emergency Department to provide primary treatment for diving incidents and barotrauma-related injuries.
Other Healthcare Updates
RSG has also received MOH approval for the architecture plans of The Red Sea International Airport Clinic. The construction of this urgent care clinic is progressing well and is expected to be fully operational by December of this year, with over 60% of the construction already completed.
Meanwhile, at AMAALA, construction commenced in March on a hospital within the Staff Village. This contract was also awarded to Abdullah Saeed Alsayed & Partners Contracting Company. The hospital is expected to be completed in late 2025, with the sub-structure already complete.
