In a thrilling display of skill and determination at the King Saud University Sports Arena, Turkish fencer Doruk Erolcevik emerged victorious in the under-17 Men's Epee Individual event at the 2024 World Fencing Championship for Juniors and Youth. Erolcevik clinched the gold medal after a fierce competition against Egypt's Osama Eslam. The event also saw Alexander Bezrodnov from the USA and Federico Varone from Italy securing the bronze medals, showcasing the global talent present at this prestigious championship.
In the under-17 Cadet Women's Epee category, Ukrainian fencer Anna Varone took home the gold medal, defeating Sharika Gajjala of the USA in a compelling match. The silver went to Gajjala, while Emily Conrad, also from Ukraine, and Huishuang Jiang from China were awarded the bronze medals. This category highlighted the exceptional talent and competitive spirit among young female fencers on an international stage.

The ceremony of crowning the winners was graced by Ambassador Emrullah İşler from the Republic of Turkey to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Adel Al-Rumaihi, director of teams at the Saudi Arabian Fencing Federation.
