Tropical Depression Forecast: Rainfall Expected In Oman Regions
Recent satellite imagery and data from the National Early Warning Center for Multiple Hazards have shown that a tropical depression could be forming in the southeast of the Arabian Sea. This weather system has the potential to escalate into a deep depression within the next 48 hours. The Civil Aviation Authority has released a report highlighting that the emerging tropical system might head westward towards the coasts of Dhofar Governorate and the Gulf of Aden. This movement could bring adverse weather conditions to the regions of Dhofar, Al Wusta, and South Al Sharqiyah Governorates.

"The initial forecasts suggest that the tropical system may move westward towards the coasts of Dhofar Governorate and the Gulf of Aden, with a chance of affecting Dhofar, Al Wusta, and South Al Sharqiyah Governorates with cloud advection accompanied by varying intensities of rainfall starting from the night of Monday, October 14, 2024."
