The 44th Sharjah International Book Fair (SIBF) 2025 is set to occur from 5th to 16th November at the Expo Centre Sharjah. This year's theme is "It’s Between You and a Book." TRENDS Research & Advisory will participate as a research partner, contributing significantly to the event's intellectual offerings.

Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Ali, CEO of TRENDS, expressed pride in partnering with SIBF. He highlighted that this collaboration enhances scientific research and knowledge dissemination. According to him, TRENDS aims to convert research into practical solutions for various sectors, thereby fostering constructive engagement.

TRENDS Showcases Publications at SIBF 2025

The fair will host 2,350 publishers and exhibitors from 118 countries. Attendees will include hundreds of thinkers, writers, translators, and creatives globally. The event promises over 1,200 cultural, creative, and artistic activities for visitors to enjoy.

TRENDS plans to contribute around 500 publications focused on science and knowledge. These works cover diverse topics such as economics, politics, artificial intelligence, advanced technology, cybersecurity, sustainable development, foreign policy, international relations, political Islam, climate change, environment, and health.

The SIBF serves as a vital cultural platform in the Middle East. It allows researchers and academics direct interaction with the public. This engagement helps them gather feedback on their work and understand community interests better. Such interactions enrich future research efforts.

Rawdha Al-Marzouqi from TRENDS mentioned that their agenda includes signing 17 new publications by their researchers and writers. Additionally, they will host youth panel discussions and interactive meetings to engage younger audiences effectively.

Addressing Global Issues

TRENDS aims to raise awareness about regional and global issues through its participation in the fair. They plan to conduct dialogue sessions, panel discussions, and workshops focusing on topics like artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, terrorism, and sustainability.

This initiative seeks to enhance community understanding of these critical subjects by shedding light on cross-border topics that affect everyone globally.

The SIBF provides an excellent opportunity for TRENDS to engage with diverse audiences while promoting knowledge sharing across various fields. Their involvement underscores the importance of addressing pressing global challenges through informed dialogue and research-based insights.
