Trends Showcases 400 Publications At Cairo International Book Fair 2026
TRENDS Research and Advisory is taking part in the 57th Cairo International Book Fair for the fifth year in a row, presenting over 400 publications and a programme of academic events that explore artificial intelligence, development, culture and media in regional and global contexts.
The organisation’s participation includes several joint seminars with Egyptian and Arab institutions, reflecting a broad knowledge partnership. Topics span artificial intelligence and development agendas, digital cultural production, and sustainable water security, linking research outputs with current policy questions relevant to the Middle East and beyond.

A flagship session, titled "Between Innovation and Developmental Impact: The Role of Artificial Intelligence in Accelerating the Development Agenda," is co-organised by TRENDS Research and Advisory and the Information and Decision Support Centre of the Egyptian Cabinet, examining how AI tools might support national and international development goals.
Another panel, "Sustainable Water Security from the Perspective of Modern Media: Between Challenges and Community Awareness," is being held with the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, while a further seminar on "Cultural Production in the Digital Age, Content Abundance and the Challenges of Creativity" is organised with the Bibliotheca Alexandrina.
TRENDS is displaying more than 400 research, academic and knowledge titles, made up of original works and translated studies in over 16 languages. The catalogue covers integrated research series and specialised studies in economics, politics, technology and geopolitics, alongside work on health, climate and environmental topics.
The publications address issues such as international security, political Islam, artificial intelligence, advanced technology, climate change, environmental studies and public health, offering analysis for decision-makers, researchers and general readers, including audiences in the Middle East and the wider international community.
The Cairo International Book Fair, held at the Egypt International Exhibitions Centre from 21st January to 3rd February 2026, is described as one of the region’s largest cultural platforms, bringing together more than 1,457 publishing houses from 83 countries under the slogan "Whoever stops reading for an hour… falls centuries behind."
