Transport Minister Saleh Al-Jasser Opens SAR 611 Million Agility Logistics Complex To Boost Supply Chains

Minister of Transport and Logistic Services Saleh Al-Jasser has officially opened the Agility Logistics Complex in Jeddah. This project, valued at SAR611 million, is a significant investment by Agility Logistics Parks. The complex includes six state-of-the-art warehouses designed to support various sectors such as retail, consumer goods, technology, automotive, energy, and e-commerce.

The logistics sector in Saudi Arabia is witnessing substantial investments from both local and international private sectors. Al-Jasser noted that this trend highlights the Kingdom's growing appeal in logistics and supply chain operations. He attributed this growth to comprehensive structural reforms and enhanced infrastructure development backed by Saudi leadership.

The Agility complex covers an area of 576,760 square meters with over 338,000 square meters of built-up space. Situated in the Al-Mahjar area, it is strategically located just 11 kilometers from Jeddah Islamic Port and 15 kilometers from the city center. This location is crucial for meeting the rising demand for logistics services along the western trade corridor of the Kingdom.

Al-Jasser emphasized the importance of strategic partnerships with the private sector. These collaborations are vital for unlocking economic opportunities within Saudi Arabia's transport and logistics industry. The minister also highlighted the shared commitment to developing modern logistics infrastructure that enhances supply chain operations and supports technological advancements.

The master plan for the complex includes six Grade-A warehouses built to international standards. These facilities comply fully with regulations set by the Saudi General Directorate of Civil Defense, local municipalities, and the Saudi Food and Drug Authority. The warehouses offer both dry and temperature-controlled storage solutions within a secure environment equipped with 24/7 protection systems.

Al-Jasser remarked on how these investments reflect a commitment to ambitious plans aimed at creating high-quality logistics infrastructure. Such developments are designed to empower supply chain operations while supporting data center hosting and artificial intelligence applications.

The minister pointed out that major investments from leading global logistics companies have been attracted due to improved operational activities and performance levels in Saudi Arabia's logistics sector. This momentum is further supported by significant infrastructure enhancements initiated by the country's leadership.
