Transport General Authority To Provide 5,000+ Taxis For Hajj Season 1445 AH

The Transport General Authority (TGA) has announced the deployment of over 5,000 taxis to serve pilgrims during the Hajj season of 1445 AH. This initiative is part of TGA's efforts to provide an optimal journey for pilgrims. The licensed taxis are equipped with advanced technologies to ensure a safe and comfortable experience.

The taxis feature live trip tracking, e-meters, and multiple payment methods, including e-payments. These enhancements aim to facilitate easy and secure access to the Holy Mosque and central areas. TGA ensures that authorized carriers activate the e-meter during journeys. If drivers fail to comply, passengers are entitled to a free ride.

Drivers are required to adhere to privacy and traffic regulations, maintain polite and respectful conduct with passengers, and wear the official uniform while on duty. Passengers are also expected to maintain public etiquette inside the taxis. This includes not smoking or eating, not exceeding the allowed number of seats, and not tampering with equipment and stickers.
