Tradeling Secures Acquisition Of Axiom Telecom’s Distribution Business To Strengthen MENA E-commerce Landscape
Tradeling Holding, a B2B e-commerce firm under the Dubai Integrated Economic Zones Authority (DIEZ), has signed a significant agreement to acquire Axiom Telecom's MENA distribution business. This deal, witnessed by H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of DIEZ, positions Tradeling as a major technology partner for global brands, with expected annual revenue surpassing AED2 billion.
Tradeling will fully acquire A&T Holding FZCO, which owns key distribution businesses of Axiom. These include Axiom Distribution FZCO in the UAE, focusing on technology distribution and managing experience stores for top mobile handset manufacturers. Additionally, Axiom International Distribution FZCO handles technology distribution in UAE free zones and global exports. Axiom Telecom Saudi Arabia Co provides services across Saudi Arabia and international markets.

Dr. Mohammed Al Zarooni, Executive Chairman of DIEZ, and Abdul Aziz AlBannai, Chairman of Axiom Telecom, signed the agreement. Dr. Al Zarooni remarked that this acquisition is pivotal for Tradeling's journey to redefine B2B e-commerce in the Middle East. He stated, "This acquisition is a milestone in Tradeling’s journey to redefine the B2B e-commerce landscape in the Middle East."
Tradeling's headquarters are located in Dubai Airport Freezone (DAFZ), where it operates the largest B2B e-commerce platform in the MENA region. The company serves over 50,000 customers and has increased its order volumes fourfold since 2023. In 2024 alone, Tradeling shipped 3.3 million units and expects to exceed 3.5 million units by year-end.
The acquisition aligns with Dubai's Economic Agenda D33, aiming to double the emirate’s economy size by 2033. Dr. Al Zarooni added that Tradeling’s focus on creating an efficient marketplace will significantly contribute to Dubai's vision as a hub for trade and innovation. "This transaction will facilitate the seamless movement of goods and services," he noted.
Fahad AlBannai, CEO of Axiom Telecom, expressed pride in this new chapter for Axiom’s legacy within Tradeling’s growth strategy. He said, "For over two decades, Axiom has been a trusted name in technology distribution across the GCC." This move allows Tradeling to leverage Axiom’s infrastructure and market expertise.
Empowering Businesses Across MENA
Alastair Croker, CEO of Tradeling, highlighted how integrating Axiom Telecom’s business reshapes technology distribution across MENA. "By integrating Axiom Telecom’s distribution business into our operations," he commented, "we are not only scaling our capabilities but also reshaping the technology distribution landscape across the MENA region."
This strategic acquisition supports Tradeling’s mission to offer advanced solutions in marketplace logistics and warehousing while expanding its service capabilities and client base through Axiom's expertise.
The acquisition further strengthens supplier relationships and drives innovation within the region’s B2B ecosystem. By leveraging these synergies with Axiom's established networks, Tradeling aims to empower businesses of all sizes to thrive amid increasing competition.
