Tourism Ministry Confirms Minimum 20-Hour Check-In To Check-Out Policy For Hospitality Facilities
The Ministry of Tourism has confirmed that the minimum duration between check-in and check-out at hospitality venues in Saudi Arabia aligns with global norms. This period must be at least 20 hours, as specified in reservation documents. Facilities can adjust their schedules based on location and clientele, but they must ensure guests receive the full minimum stay.
Guests should note that arriving late does not change the check-out time stated in their booking. For instance, if a guest checks in at 10:00 p.m., they must still check out by 12:00 p.m. the following day. Any hours lost due to late arrival are the guest's responsibility.

Officials highlighted that this standard ensures facilities have enough time to prepare rooms for new guests, maintaining cleanliness and service quality. The calculation of the stay duration is strictly based on details in the approved reservation record.
The Ministry emphasised that guests should receive the exact room type, amenities, services, and standards shown on booking platforms. Visitors are advised to review check-in and check-out policies before finalising reservations to avoid misunderstandings.
For any questions or issues, guests can reach out to the Unified Tourism Center at 930. The Ministry is committed to ongoing monitoring and awareness efforts to protect travelers' rights and improve Saudi Arabia's tourism experience according to international best practices.
