Radisson Madinah Hotel Inauguration Boosts Hospitality Infrastructure In Saudi Arabia
Radisson Hotel Madinah has officially opened, with Minister of Tourism and Tourism Development Fund Chairman Ahmed Al-Khateeb inaugurating the four-star property. The project, enabled by the Tourism Development Fund, aims to expand Madinah’s hospitality capacity and support Saudi Arabia’s National Tourism Strategy and Saudi Vision 2030 objectives.
The new hotel is designed to help meet the growing demand from visitors and pilgrims to Madinah. By adding more quality rooms and services near key religious sites, the project supports efforts to improve visitor experiences, raise service standards, and strengthen tourism’s role in the national economy.

The Radisson Hotel Madinah covers more than 2,300 square metres and offers 165 rooms. It is located next to Quba Mosque, about 12 minutes by car from the Prophet's Mosque, and roughly 20 minutes from Prince Mohammad bin Abdulaziz International Airport, giving guests practical access to major city landmarks.
Facilities at the Radisson Hotel Madinah include a restaurant serving both residents and walk-in guests, in addition to dedicated meeting and event halls. The property also features sports facilities, allowing visitors to combine spiritual, business, and leisure needs in one location, while helping increase the overall accommodation capacity available in Madinah.
The Tourism Development Fund views the Radisson Hotel Madinah as part of a wider programme to stimulate local economic activity and the hospitality ecosystem. By backing such projects, the Fund seeks to improve Madinah’s readiness to welcome rising numbers of visitors and pilgrims in coming years, while supporting private sector participation in tourism growth.
{TABLE_1}Across Madinah, the Tourism Development Fund has supported more than 130 tourism projects. Total contributions in the city exceed SAR1.5 billion, with accommodation capacity from these projects surpassing 2,100 hotel rooms. These investments are aligned with sustainable development goals and the National Tourism Strategy, as well as Saudi Vision 2030’s tourism targets.
TDF CEO Qusai Al-Fakhri stated that the Fund continues to act as the national tourism enabler by backing projects with clear economic and developmental returns. Al-Fakhri explained that the Radisson Hotel Madinah illustrates TDF’s approach to diverse tourism investments and collaboration with the private sector on hotel developments.
Ahmed Al-Khateeb stressed that the opening highlights TDF’s commitment to high-quality and varied tourism projects that respond to visitor needs. Al-Khateeb said, "Saudi Arabia continues to advance the development of the hospitality sector across different regions to ensure the provision of exceptional accommodation experiences that enhance the visitor journey and support the sustainable growth of tourism, particularly in cities of religious and historical significance such as Madinah".
The Radisson Hotel Madinah is one element within a larger national tourism portfolio supported by the Tourism Development Fund in Madinah and other Saudi regions. By expanding hotel supply, creating job opportunities, and improving quality of life in Madinah, the project reinforces ongoing efforts to build a strong, sustainable tourism sector across the Kingdom.
