TII And AppliedAI Unite To Boost AI Support For UAE's First Responders
The Technology Innovation Institute (TII) and AppliedAI, both based in Abu Dhabi, have announced a strategic partnership aimed at enhancing emergency operations in the UAE through artificial intelligence (AI), innovative materials, and secure communication technologies. This collaboration marks a significant step towards integrating advanced technological solutions in high-stake, mission-critical scenarios to improve the safety and efficiency of first responders, including firefighters.
TII, a prominent global research center and the applied research arm of Abu Dhabi’s Advanced Technology Research Council (ATRC), specializes in developing cutting-edge technology solutions across various domains. Its Advanced Materials and Secure Systems Research Centres are at the forefront of creating technologies that bolster the capabilities of emergency services. The partnership with AppliedAI is set to introduce AI-driven tools for situational awareness, voice control, health monitoring, asset protection, insurance underwriting, and decision-making systems.

The collaborative project between TII and AppliedAI, dubbed the Fire Knight, will utilize TII’s Secure Mesh Shield Technology alongside its latest advancements in Additive Manufacturing. These technologies promise to bring about significant improvements in the operational effectiveness of first responders.
AppliedAI, headquartered in Abu Dhabi and supported by the Abu Dhabi Investment Office (ADIO), focuses on building AI systems that automate and enhance decision-making processes within critical safety and health sectors.
