The fifth week of the Esports World Cup (EWC 2025) in Riyadh concluded with new champions and historic achievements. The tournament witnessed intense competition and drew remarkable fan attendance. Three new champions emerged, showcasing the high skill level and professionalism of elite clubs and players worldwide.
Team Liquid made history by becoming the first club to win three titles in a single EWC edition. They secured the EA SPORTS FC 25 title, reinforcing their dominance this year. Dutch star Manuel Bachoore (ManuBachoore) of Team Liquid claimed his second world title by defeating France’s Brice Mason (Brice) of Team Vitality 5-3, boosting Team Liquid's points tally to 4,200.

Team Secret achieved their first Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege championship with a decisive 3-0 victory over G2 Esports. This all-European showdown marked an impressive journey for Team Secret, who started with a third-place continental ranking. They capitalised on Team Falcons' early exit to secure their place among elite champions.
In the Call of Duty: Warzone championship, Saudi team Twisted Minds made history by winning their first title. They faced Virtus.pro in a fiercely contested battle that extended to the tenth match. Twisted Minds ultimately secured victory by a narrow margin, showcasing their strength and cohesion.
The week also featured special events, including a friendly EA SPORTS FC 25 match between football legends Ronaldo and Kaka at stc Arena. This event blended football’s heritage with esports. Additionally, the EWC Foundation announced renowned Japanese game designer Hideo Kojima's participation in the tournament and New Global Sports Conference.
Kojima, founder of Kojima Productions, will present exclusive insights into developing Death Stranding 2: On the Beach. He will meet fans at Publishers Park during the festival and join cosplay activities inspired by his game.
Team Liquid's success placed them at the top of the Club Championship standings with 4,200 points. They are ahead of Team Falcons, who earned only 200 points this week. The gap with Team Vitality is now narrowed to 550 points as several decisive tournaments remain.
This week's events have added fresh chapters to EWC's legacy in Riyadh. The tournament continues to highlight exceptional competition among elite clubs and players globally.
