Third Make It In The Emirates Forum To Kick Off On Monday In Abu Dhabi
The third edition of the Make It in the Emirates Forum, organised by the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (MoIAT) in collaboration with the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development (ADDED) and ADNOC Group, will begin on Monday at the Abu Dhabi Energy Centre. The event will run from 27th to 28th May under the theme "Invest. Innovate. Grow."
This year's forum will feature participation from local and international stakeholders, including senior government officials, CEOs, entrepreneurs, investors, industrialists, experts, innovators, and representatives of financial institutions. The forum builds on the success of its previous editions, which generated AED 121 billion worth of local procurement opportunities in sectors such as pharmaceuticals, energy, telecommunications, space, healthcare, and food and beverages.

The Make it in the Emirates initiative aligns with the objectives of the National Strategy for Industry and Advanced Technology. The strategy aims to promote national economic diversification. In its past two editions, more than 100 agreements were signed representing investments in energy, defence, aviation, pharmaceuticals, space, and other vital sectors.
The upcoming forum will showcase new investment and local procurement opportunities under the National In-Country Value (ICV) Programme. It will also explore trends in innovation and AI. The agenda is designed to help stakeholders discover more growth and competitive opportunities while reinforcing the UAE's position as a hub for industry and advanced technologies.
Panel Discussions and Awards Ceremony
The forum will feature a series of panel discussions. The first day will include sessions exploring the UAE's industrial strategy, Operation 300bn, AI integration in industry, and opportunities surrounding the National ICV Programme. Additionally, the Make it in the Emirates Awards ceremony will honour companies and individuals shaping the future of industry.
Sessions on the second day will focus on attracting investments in the space sector and deploying green technology to decarbonise industry. There will also be discussions on sustainable manufacturing and accelerating smart mobility through industry convergence.
Inspiring Emirati Youth
A special session organised by MoIAT’s Youth Council aims to inspire youth participation in industry. This session is designed to prepare a new generation of young people, entrepreneurs, and talented individuals to drive the sector forward. Several breakout sessions will take place concurrently.
Showcasing Industrial Progress
The annual event highlights progress in advanced industries development, clean energy deployment, food and pharmaceutical manufacturing growth, technological investments increase, and digital transformation pace. The forum also focuses on future trends shaping the industrial sector by exploring growth opportunities, forming partnerships and investments, exchanging expertise, and discussing solutions to boost industrial companies' competitiveness.
New Partnerships Announcements
During the forum, new partnerships worth billions of dirhams will be announced. Participants will learn about the major economic and social impacts of the first and second editions of the forum. Attendees will also have the chance to visit an accompanying exhibition featuring significant industrial opportunities and locally manufactured products with participation from 44 major industrial companies.
