Theyab Bin Mohamed Bin Zayed Meets Participants Of UAE Leadership Programme In China To Enhance Cooperation

H.H. Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Development and Fallen Heroes’ Affairs, recently engaged with attendees of the First UAE Second-Tier Leadership Executive Programme in China. This event, themed 'Bridging Nations, Building Leaders', took place from 21st October to 4th November 2025. It gathered 30 officials from 24 federal and local government bodies.

The programme aimed to deepen understanding and cooperation between the UAE and China across various sectors. It sought to enhance the skills of second-tier Emirati leaders by examining Chinese governance, innovation, economic growth, education, and sustainability models. Participants were encouraged to establish professional networks with Chinese leaders and experts to foster future collaboration.

Sheikh Theyab highlighted that this initiative reflects the UAE leadership’s commitment to investing in its people. By equipping them with global knowledge and expertise, it supports the nation’s continuous development. He emphasised that such programmes are part of a broader strategy to prepare national talent for future leadership roles.

Participants explored China's advancements in governance, innovation, sustainable economic development, education, technology, artificial intelligence, and creative industries. The programme also covered green development practices. Field visits were organised to academic, technological, and economic institutions in Beijing and Fujian Province.

Sheikh Theyab expressed confidence that participants will act as active ambassadors for UAE–China cooperation in forward-looking fields. He praised the efforts of organising entities like the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in Beijing. The programme was implemented in partnership with the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC) and supported by China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

He noted that these initiatives help prepare a new generation of leaders capable of fostering cultural and economic exchanges between the two nations. Such efforts contribute significantly to enhancing government performance and efficiency while reinforcing the UAE's global standing.

Sheikh Theyab reiterated that programmes like this embody an integrated strategy aimed at qualifying national talent for leadership roles. This approach not only strengthens bilateral relations but also enhances mutual understanding between countries through shared learning experiences.
