Theyab Bin Mohamed Bin Zayed Inaugurates Global Media Congress 2024 To Showcase Media Advancements
Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the third Global Media Congress was inaugurated by H.H. Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Organised by ADNEC Group and Emirates News Agency (WAM), this event is being held at the ADNEC Centre in Abu Dhabi until 28th November.
The opening ceremony included the UAE national anthem and an interactive presentation on the media sector's evolution in the UAE. Abdulla bin Mohammed bin Butti Al Hamed, Chairman of the National Media Office, delivered a keynote address. This was followed by a panel discussion featuring media ministers from various countries.
During the event, H.H. Sheikh Theyab explored an exhibition showcasing inspiring media experiences from national, Gulf, and international platforms. The exhibition highlighted advancements in media production, focusing on integrating advanced technologies and artificial intelligence into written, audio, and visual content.
Sheikh Theyab also visited the UAE Media Pavilion, which featured entities like the National Media Office and Emirates News Agency (WAM). He received a briefing on the UAE's participation in the congress, aiming to share its media achievements and establish new partnerships while conveying its cultural message globally.
H.H. Sheikh Theyab praised the progress of the UAE media sector, recognising its role in reinforcing global leadership across various fields. "Under the guidance of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan," he stated, "the nation has established itself as a global hub for innovative and inclusive media content production."
He added that "the UAE believes in the influential role of media in shaping the future and promoting noble values within societies." The congress is expected to foster discussions and initiatives that promote responsibility and sustainable communication within the media sector.

The opening ceremony saw attendance from notable figures including Dr. Ramzan bin Abdullah Al-Noaimi from Bahrain; Sheikh Hamad bin Thamer Al-Thani from Qatar; Sheikh Mubarak Fahad Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah from GCC Joint Programme Production Institution; Dr. Nasser Muhaisen from Kuwait; Dr. Zaid Nawaysah from Jordan; Abdullah bin Sultan bin Awad Al Nuaimi; Dr. Anwar Gargash; Zaki Nusseibeh; Awaidha Murshed Al Marar; Dr. Mugheer Khamis Al Khaili; Abdulhamid Mohammed Saeed along with several heads of Gulf, Arab, international news agencies, experts, officials worldwide.
