Theyab Bin Mohamed Bin Zayed Emphasises UAE's Humanitarian Efforts At Council Meeting
H.H. Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Development and Fallen Heroes’ Families Affairs, highlighted the UAE's global developmental and humanitarian efforts. Under President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan's leadership, these initiatives reflect the country's civilisational values, aiming to foster sustainable development and improve living conditions worldwide.
During a board meeting of the International Humanitarian and Philanthropic Council, which he chaired, Sheikh Theyab discussed various humanitarian projects. The meeting focused on the UAE Aid Agency's priorities and the strategic plan of the UAE Youth Council for Humanitarian Work. These discussions aimed to enhance the effectiveness of ongoing initiatives.

Sheikh Theyab emphasised integrating efforts among UAE humanitarian entities and international organisations. This integration ensures optimal results in aiding needy communities. He acknowledged His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan's dedication to unifying programmes across different institutions for maximum impact.
The meeting also highlighted H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan's role in fostering cooperation among stakeholders. His efforts aim to unify actions towards priority areas, enhancing efficiency and sustainability in humanitarian work.
Sheikh Theyab reviewed the progress of UAE’s humanitarian projects globally, especially in vulnerable regions lacking basic services like clean water, electricity, education, and healthcare. Addressing these challenges remains a priority for ongoing initiatives.
The Council's board meeting covered several aspects of its humanitarian work, including media coverage and early recovery programmes. Operational plans of the UAE Aid Agency were also discussed alongside strategic goals for youth involvement in humanitarian efforts.
Acknowledging Contributions
Sheikh Theyab expressed gratitude towards Emirati donor agencies and charitable associations for their contributions in 2024. He stressed the importance of continuing these efforts this year to maintain positive impacts both domestically and internationally.
The meeting was attended by notable figures such as Shamma bint Suhail Al Mazrui, Minister of Community Empowerment; Mariam bint Mohammed Al Muhairi from the Presidential Court; Faris Mohammed Al Mazrouei, Advisor at the Presidential Court; Hamdan Musallam Al Mazrouei from Emirates Red Crescent; Mohammed Saif Al Suwaidi from Abu Dhabi Fund for Development; Dr. Tariq Ahmed Al Ameri from Emirates International Aid Agency; and Sultan Mohammed Al Shamsi, Deputy Chairman of Emirates International Aid Agency.
