Thani Al Zeyoudi Visits Globalpharma To Strengthen UAE's Pharmaceutical Industry

Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of State for Foreign Trade and Chairman of the Emirates Drug Establishment (EDE), recently visited Globalpharma. This visit aimed to explore ways to enhance the UAE's pharmaceutical sector and improve the competitiveness of local products. Dr. Fatima Al Kaabi, General Manager of EDE, accompanied him during this tour.

During their visit, Dr. Zeyoudi and Dr. Al Kaabi examined Globalpharma's facilities and reviewed its latest production strategies. The visit aligns with EDE's ongoing mission to support the UAE's pharmaceutical industry and position the nation as a leader in pharmaceutical innovation both regionally and globally.

Dr. Zeyoudi was informed about Globalpharma's efforts to broaden its product range and maintain its leadership in the sector. The company is focusing on developing pharmaceuticals that address diseases like diabetes, cardiovascular issues, gastrointestinal disorders, and bone diseases.

Al Zeyoudi emphasised the establishment's dedication to bolstering the UAE’s pharmaceutical industry and enhancing national healthcare security. "The pharmaceutical sector plays a fundamental role in ensuring the sustainability of medical products, enhancing healthcare resilience, and realising the UAE’s vision of leadership in all sectors including the health and pharmaceutical sector," he stated.

He further highlighted that this visit is part of ongoing efforts to foster sustainable growth in the pharmaceutical sector through strategic partnerships with national companies. These collaborations aim to accelerate innovation and provide sustainable healthcare solutions by adopting advanced technologies.
