Technologies For Exceptional Transformation Initiative Accelerates KAUST Collaboration In Saudi Industry

The Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources has launched the "Technologies for Exceptional Transformation" initiative with King Abdullah University of Science and Technology. The programme seeks to speed up the use of KAUST-developed technologies in Saudi manufacturing and support the wider Industrial Sector Support Initiative.

The initiative is open to Saudi-headquartered manufacturers working in the priority sectors of the National Industrial Strategy. Applicants must show clear technical problems and innovation needs, and agree to share financial and innovation data that measure the effect of deploying the selected technologies.

Technologies for Exceptional Transformation begins

Through the Technologies for Exceptional Transformation initiative, the ministry aims to build strong cooperation between academic research and factories. The programme links manufacturers with KAUST’s strategic research outputs and international technology suppliers, creating structured channels for knowledge transfer across Saudi Arabia’s industrial ecosystem.

Participants in the Technologies for Exceptional Transformation initiative gain access to KAUST technologies that can support business expansion. This access is designed to help companies sharpen competitiveness, introduce new industrial solutions, and raise the share of high-value manufactured products within the Kingdom’s economy.

The ministry states that the Technologies for Exceptional Transformation initiative supports Vision 2030 targets by empowering the industrial sector with next-generation technologies. The programme aims to improve industrial performance, strengthen competitiveness, and generate new economic opportunities in line with national diversification plans.

Industrial companies wishing to join the Technologies for Exceptional Transformation initiative can submit applications through the ministry’s portal at https://mim.gov.sa/u/Transform. The Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources indicated that the announcement was issued by SPA at 13:06 local time, 10:06 GMT.
