TeamLab Borderless Museum To Open In Jeddah, Marking Middle East Debut

The Saudi Ministry of Culture, in collaboration with the art collective teamLab group, has announced the opening of the teamLab Borderless museum in Jeddah, slated for the summer of 2024. This innovative museum, sprawling over 10,000 square meters beside Lake Al-Arbaeen, will not only offer breathtaking views of the UNESCO-listed Jeddah Historic District but also mark a significant milestone as the first permanent museum of its kind in the Middle East. Named "teamLab Borderless Jeddah", the museum is set to house approximately 80 artworks that promise an unparalleled immersive experience.

Among the featured artworks are "Borderless World", "Athletics Forest", "Future Park", "Forest of Lamps", and "EN TEA HOUSE". These pieces are designed to interact and merge with one another, creating a seamless and boundless world of art that visitors can wander through and explore. Each artwork contributes to a unique experience, from the "Athletics Forest" which aims to boost spatial awareness and cognitive development through engaging physical activities, to the "Future Park", an innovative project that encourages collaborative creativity.

The "EN TEA HOUSE" stands out by turning the simple act of tea making into an extraordinary visual spectacle. Here, each pour of tea is accompanied by the blooming of digital flowers in the cup, which continue to flourish for as long as it remains filled, offering an endless cascade of beauty.
