TDF Engages As Strategic Partner At Aseer Investment Forum To Boost Tourism Investments

The Tourism Development Fund (TDF) participated in the second annual Aseer Investment Forum under the patronage of Prince Turki bin Talal bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Aseer Region and Chairman of the Aseer Development Authority. The forum highlights investment opportunities in key sectors, with a focus on tourism. TDF's involvement as a strategic partner underscores its dedication to supporting impactful projects and boosting tourism investments in this culturally rich region.

During the forum, TDF executives visited several flagship tourism projects in Aseer. The tour began at The Point, a mixed-use development covering 75,000 square meters. It features the first Hilton-branded hotel in Aseer with 250 rooms, alongside a retail hub with 150 stores, 41 dining options, and 10 cinemas. This destination celebrates local culture by combining hospitality, entertainment, and shopping.

The delegation also explored Khayal Walk Boulevard, an entertainment and retail complex that merges urban architecture with Aseer's mountainous landscape. This project offers terraced levels with upscale boutiques and eateries, providing a refined experience rooted in local heritage. Next was the InterContinental Hotel, offering over 200 rooms with stunning natural views and operated by IHG Hotels & Resorts.

Le Premier was another highlight of the tour. This mixed-use destination combines modern aesthetics with national character. It includes six locally inspired dining venues and the four-star Hajlah Hotel with around 150 rooms and a conference hall. Le Premier aims to attract both leisure and business tourists year-round to Abha.

The TDF has enabled tourism projects worth approximately SAR2 billion in Aseer, reflecting its commitment to developing unique destinations aligned with Saudi Vision 2030. "Our participation aligns with our strategy to enable promising destinations across Saudi Arabia," said TDF Chief Executive Qusai Al-Fakhri. "By catalyzing tourism investments, we support transformative projects to grow and thrive."

At the forum, TDF conducted a workshop titled "Tourism Financing: Sustainable Solutions for Investors in Aseer Region." This session detailed financial offerings tailored to local needs, including eligibility criteria and access mechanisms for investors. The TDF also hosted an interactive booth showcasing its financing products and programs for entrepreneurs interested in entering Aseer's tourism sector.

Commitment to Sustainable Growth

TDF's initiatives aim to shape sustainable tourism destinations that enhance visitor experiences while positioning Saudi Arabia as a leading global tourism hub. These efforts align with Saudi Vision 2030's aspirations for economic diversification through tourism development.

The fund continues to play a crucial role in fostering partnerships that drive sustainable growth within the National Tourism Strategy framework. By providing financial solutions and advisory services, TDF supports projects that leverage Aseer's exceptional natural and cultural assets for tourism development.
