TDF's Nationwide Tour Enhances Private Sector Engagement For Tourism Investments In Al-Ahsa
The Tourism Development Fund (TDF) has recently concluded its visit to Al-Ahsa as part of its ongoing tour across Saudi Arabia. This initiative aims to support private sector stakeholders and entrepreneurs, fostering new tourism investments in the region. The TDF team was warmly welcomed by local leaders, including the Governor of Al-Ahsa and Prince Saud bin Talal bin Badr, Acting CEO of the Al-Ahsa Development Authority.
During this visit, TDF's focus was on enhancing private sector involvement in tourism projects and exploring strategic opportunities for regional development. TDF CEO Qusai Al-Fakhri stated, "Our visit to Al-Ahsa underscores our commitment to promoting investment opportunities within the tourism sector and providing innovative solutions that empower private sector stakeholders and entrepreneurs to tap into the region's immense potential."

Al-Fakhri further expressed confidence in Al-Ahsa's unique tourism assets, which he believes will attract both domestic and international visitors. He emphasised the importance of strengthening partnerships with local authorities and the private sector to realise impactful tourism projects aligned with the National Tourism Strategy for Al-Ahsa's oasis region.
The TDF team also engaged in productive discussions with key figures such as Eng. Essam bin Abdul Latif Al-Mulla, Mayor of Al-Ahsa, and Abdulaziz bin Saleh Al-Mousa, Chairman of the Al-Ahsa Chamber of Commerce. These meetings were crucial in identifying promising investment opportunities within the tourism sector.
The discussions highlighted TDF's role in empowering the private sector to achieve the objectives outlined in the National Tourism Strategy. Collaborative initiatives were identified to develop innovative tourism projects that drive growth in Al-Ahsa's tourism industry.
The visit concluded with a "Tourism Development Townhall," organised alongside the Al-Ahsa Chamber of Commerce. During this event, TDF leadership presented strategies to empower private sector advancement in tourism. They also showcased business solutions and pathways for investors aiming for sustainable growth within Al-Ahsa's tourism sector.

According to a release, TDF has facilitated seven significant tourism projects in Al-Ahsa with a combined investment exceeding SAR2 billion. These initiatives are expected to add over 700 hotel rooms, catering to increasing visitor numbers. The visit is part of a broader nationwide tour by TDF, organised with chambers of commerce across various regions.
This tour aims to raise awareness about TDF's programs designed to support and incentivise investors exploring promising opportunities within the tourism sector. Ultimately, these efforts contribute to sustainable growth and align with Saudi Vision 2030 goals.
