Tawazun Council Launches Strategic Plan 2025-2028 To Enhance UAE Defence Ecosystem

The Tawazun Council has unveiled its strategy for 2025–2028, aligning with the UAE's national goals to bolster key sectors and enhance national security. This strategy aims to develop a sophisticated national defence ecosystem, driven by innovation and the excellence of Emirati talent, reflecting the country's growing prominence in advanced defence industries.

The strategy focuses on eight strategic objectives, including enhancing cooperation within the national defence and security sectors. It also aims to harness advanced technologies and Artificial Intelligence to improve decision-making processes. A significant emphasis is placed on industrial localisation, recognising it as crucial for advancing the defence sector.

Key priorities include fostering a sustainable national defence industry, developing specialised industrial zones, and advancing research and development. These efforts aim to ensure the nation is prepared to meet future demands. The strategy relies on enablers and innovative initiatives that enhance institutional integration among relevant national entities.

This comprehensive system will be based on knowledge and technology, ensuring regional and global competitiveness. It will operate in an environment that encourages innovation, supported by sound governance and institutional sustainability. The Council's mission is to advance the UAE’s national defence ecosystem by delivering premier capabilities efficiently.

The Tawazun Council is guided by core values: integrity, accountability, collaboration, proficiency, and innovation. These values reinforce the Council’s dedication to institutional excellence, transparency, and execution excellence. The announcement of this strategy was made during a staff meeting chaired by Dr. Nasser Humaid Al Nuaimi, Secretary-General of Tawazun Council.

During this meeting, strategic pillars and implementation were discussed, further solidifying the Council’s commitment to strengthening its institutional performance within the defence sector. Dr. Al Nuaimi stated that "The new strategy embodies an ambitious vision to position Tawazun Council as a key enabler of the national defence system."
