Tawazun Secures AED 10.044 Billion In Defence Contracts During Dubai Airshow 2025

The Tawazun Council for Defence Enablement, responsible for the UAE's defence and security industry, announced four new contracts worth AED 6.268 billion during the Dubai Airshow 2025. These agreements bring the total contracts signed in the first two days to 12, valued at AED 10.044 billion. The announcement was made by Abdulla Ahmed Al Saeedi and Manea Abdulkarim Al Mansoori, spokespersons for the Council.

Abdulla Al Saeedi detailed that three of these contracts were with local companies in aviation, space, and defence. These agreements highlight the private sector's crucial role in boosting the UAE’s defence capabilities and technological advancements to meet future demands. A significant contract worth AED 5.921 billion was signed with Global Aerospace Logistics (GAL) for aircraft maintenance services.

Tawazun's AED 10.044 Billion Defence Deals

In addition to GAL, Avital Technical Services secured a contract valued at AED 38 million to provide technical and logistical support for aircraft. Another agreement was made with Calidus to upgrade Black Hawk helicopters, amounting to AED 279.186 million. These deals underscore the importance of enhancing production and technology within national industries.

Manea Al Mansoori pointed out that an international contract was also signed on the second day with Lockheed Martin from the US. This agreement, valued at AED 29.106 million, focuses on aircraft technical support services. Such partnerships are part of Tawazun's strategy to build alliances with global defence leaders, promoting knowledge transfer and technology localisation.

Majed Al Jaberi highlighted that Tawazun's integrated ecosystem continues to bolster cooperation among national and international firms. This approach enhances the competitiveness of UAE’s defence industries while aligning with the nation’s vision for a sustainable industrial base.
