Tatarstan-UAE Relations Flourish In Education And Digital Sectors

Roman Shaykhutdinov, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan, recently shared insights into the flourishing relationship between Tatarstan and the UAE, with a particular focus on education and digitisation. During his conversation with the Emirates News Agency (WAM) at the 13th AIM Congress, Shaykhutdinov expressed admiration for the UAE's dynamic cultural, tourism, and investment sectors. He highlighted the ongoing successful collaborations in petrochemicals and robotics, pointing out the UAE's strategic position as a key gateway to broader markets.

Shaykhutdinov lauded the significant footprint of Russian companies in the UAE, attributing this to the nation's strides in education, scientific research, culture, and its solid economic and commercial framework. "This paves the way for enhancing bilateral cooperation, and for the UAE to become a hub for distributing our various products in the region and the world," Shaykhutdinov remarked. He pointed out the mutual benefits derived from such cooperation, underscoring the potential for increased partnership.

Tatarstan-UAE Ties Strengthen

Turning his attention to Tatarstan's investment landscape, Shaykhutdinov invited investors from the UAE and the Middle East to explore opportunities within Tatarstan's technical sectors and economic zones. He emphasized that Tatarstan is home to two economic zones that are at the forefront of technology and industry. These zones are particularly focused on the information technology sector, attracting significant investments annually and hosting a plethora of modern technology-focused industrial organisations.

Furthermore, Shaykhutdinov highlighted Tatarstan's commitment to supporting startups by offering incentives and facilities designed to facilitate their growth. Among these incentives are provisions for free land and other benefits aimed at nurturing budding enterprises.

Regarding the AIM Congress, Shaykhutdinov underscored its importance in promoting global cooperation, especially among BRICS countries. "Tatarstan recognises the potential of investment and collaborative endeavours within the BRICS framework, which align with its multifaceted developmental objectives," he stated. This acknowledgment reflects Tatarstan's strategic approach towards leveraging international platforms for fostering economic partnerships.

In conclusion, Shaykhutdinov's comments during the 13th AIM Congress shed light on the robust and evolving relationship between Tatarstan and the UAE. With a shared interest in advancing education, digitisation, and technological innovation, both regions are poised for deeper cooperation that could redefine their economic and cultural exchanges on a global scale.
