Tarshid Secures Five ISO Certifications In 2025, Reinforcing Energy Efficiency And Safety Leadership
Tarshid, the National Energy Services Company owned by the Public Investment Fund, is set to close 2025 with five ISO certifications across energy, environment, quality, occupational health and safety, and information security, underscoring a broad upgrade of its management systems and strengthening its role in Saudi Arabia’s energy efficiency sector.
The series of accreditations follows a detailed review of Tarshid’s operations, covering procedures, risk controls, and performance monitoring. Independent auditors assessed how the company’s activities match international benchmarks for efficiency and safety, confirming compliance with globally recognised frameworks and highlighting a structured approach to service delivery across its projects and facilities.

In early 2025, Tarshid obtained certification for the Information Security Management System standard ISO 27001:2022, which sets out strict controls for protecting data and information assets. The certification confirms that the company applies systematic measures to manage cyber risks, safeguard client information, and support secure digital operations aligned with international best practices.
By the end of 2025, Tarshid will have secured two further certificates linked to environmental and energy performance. These are ISO 14001:2015 for Environmental Management Systems and ISO 50001:2018 for Energy Management Systems. The recognition is based on the application of operation and maintenance standards in the company’s head office building, reflecting structured approaches to resource use, emissions, and long-term efficiency.
| ISO Standard | Scope | Reference Year |
|---|---|---|
| ISO 27001:2022 | Information Security Management System | 2025 (early) |

During the third quarter of 2025, Tarshid gained ISO 9001:2015 for Quality Management and ISO 45001:2018 for Occupational Health and Safety Management. These standards formalise processes that support reliable service quality, clear responsibilities, and systematic performance tracking, while also aiming to reduce incidents and injuries and maintain a safe and healthy working environment for all staff and partners.
Board Member and CEO of Tarshid Waled Al-Ghreri said: "Receiving five ISO certifications reflects our commitment to achieving efficiency, quality, and excellence across our operational activities. It underscores our national responsibility to enhance energy efficiency and ensure safe and healthy operations, following best practices within a work environment that meets the highest international standards. These accreditations represent a significant added value, reinforcing Tarshid's position as a national leader in energy efficiency and sustainability solutions."
Tarshid ISO certifications and Saudi Vision 2030 energy efficiency
Tarshid was established in 2017 to become the Kingdom’s leading energy services provider under the ownership of the Public Investment Fund. The company focuses on the energy sector by combining energy efficiency projects, operational excellence, and clean energy solutions, aligning its programmes with the sustainability targets of Saudi Vision 2030 and supporting the broader development of the national energy efficiency industry.
The five ISO certifications obtained during 2025 collectively indicate that Tarshid is operating under recognised systems for quality, safety, environment, energy, and information security. These frameworks are expected to support consistent performance across projects and underline Tarshid’s role in advancing energy efficiency, sustainability, and secure operations within Saudi Arabia’s evolving energy landscape.
