TAQA Distribution And ADGM Collaborate On Digital Billing Solutions For Al Maryah And Al Reem Islands Residents

TAQA Distribution, a part of Abu Dhabi National Energy Company (TAQA), has entered into a strategic partnership with ADGM. This collaboration aims to improve utility management services for residents on Al Maryah and Al Reem Islands. The agreement was formalised in the presence of Omar Al Hashmi, CEO of TAQA Distribution, and Hamad Al Mazrouei, CEO of ADGM Registration Authority.

Under this agreement, TAQA Distribution will handle billing, payment processing, and customer relationship management (CRM) services related to authority fees. This will simplify the tenancy experience for over 16,000 residents across both islands. By incorporating tenancy-related fees into a customised power and water utilities bill within the ADGM system, the process from lease application to bill payments and account closures becomes more straightforward.

This initiative is part of the Abu Dhabi Programme for Effortless Customer Experience. It ensures a seamless and fully automated journey at every stage of the tenancy lifecycle. Over the next year, tenants will transition to this new system, benefiting from improved service efficiency and digital-first solutions.

As part of the agreement, TAQA Distribution will manage the collection and administration of authority fees related to tenancy contracts. This further streamlines processes for residents. Omar Alhashmi stated, "This partnership with ADGM emphasises our commitment to delivering innovative, customer-centric solutions that enhance operational efficiency and improve service delivery."

Omar Alhashmi added that by integrating technology and automation, they are transforming how residents interact with their utilities. He noted that gradually combining various services rendered for customers across Abu Dhabi into a unified bill simplifies and speeds up payment processes in the emirate.

Hamad Sayah Al Mazrouei commented on the collaboration's impact: "Our strategic collaboration with TAQA Distribution introduces a structured, efficient approach to utility management for Al Maryah and Al Reem Islands." He highlighted that integrating TAQA Distribution’s expertise within ADGM’s ecosystem enhances resident experience and service standards.
