Tanzania International Holy Quran Competition Affirms Kingdom's Role In Promoting Peace And Values

The 33rd Tanzania International Holy Quran Competition's organising committee praised Saudi Arabia's efforts in promoting the Quran and its values, which advocate peace and love while opposing extremism. The committee emphasised the competition's goals, such as fostering a competitive spirit among youth in memorising the Quran and applying its teachings.

During a recent press conference in Dar es Salaam, the committee outlined how the event aims to promote Islamic values, encourage Quran memorisation among young people, and advocate for peace while rejecting radicalism. The competition also seeks to enhance communication among Islamic nations and highlight the Quran's significance in Muslims' lives.

Tanzania Quran Competition Highlights Kingdom's Support

The competition is seen as a platform to spread peace and security by promoting Islamic values rooted in tolerance and moderation. Abdullah Al-Anzi, spokesperson for the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance, discussed the ministry’s global efforts. Sheikh Othman Kaporo, chairman of the Tanzania Holy Quran Awards, expressed gratitude towards Saudi Arabia for supporting this year's competition. The event includes participants from 25 different countries. He acknowledged Saudi Arabia's leadership for its ongoing support across various fields, including international Quran memorisation competitions.

The Kingdom’s involvement is seen as crucial in fostering international cooperation and understanding through such events. By supporting these competitions, Saudi Arabia helps reinforce the shared values of peace and unity among Muslim communities globally.
