Tanweer Festival 2024 To Celebrate Diverse Cultural Expressions In The UAE
The Tanweer Festival 2024, themed "Timeless Echoes of Love and Light," will take place in the UAE from 22nd to 24th November. This cultural event, inspired by Jalal al-Din Al Rumi's legacy, invites global audiences to engage in music, art, poetry, and cultural exchange. Held in the Mleiha Desert, Sharjah, it promises a rich blend of artistic and cultural activities.
Over three days, more than 100 musicians from over 15 countries will perform on four uniquely designed stages. The festival's programme features renowned artists like Sami Yusuf, Dhafer Youssef, Kamal Musallam, and Constantinople with Ghalia Benali. Their performances will contribute to a diverse artistic atmosphere.

The festival includes ten workshops aimed at enhancing creative skills and understanding cultural traditions. These workshops cover topics such as Sufi whirling and calligraphy lighting, led by experienced practitioners. Attendees can also explore art installations by visionary artists like Karim + Elias, Ahmad Kattan, and Omar Al Gurg.
These installations offer reflective and inspirational experiences for visitors. The festival’s "Nourish" culinary area will feature 12 vendors offering local and international dishes. This culinary experience reflects the festival’s ethos of cross-cultural connection through food.
A marketplace will host 14 local and international artisans showcasing handcrafted items and sustainable goods. These items celebrate diverse artistic traditions. For those interested in exploring Mleiha’s historical landscape, six activities are available.
Visitors can enjoy guided tours of the Valley of the Caves, moon-gazing sessions, and paragliding over the desert. Accommodation options include luxury glamping and camping facilities provided by the Sharjah Investment and Development Authority at Al Badayer Retreat, Al Faya Retreat, and Moon Retreat.
