Tajmee’e Partners With EchoTwin AI For Innovative Waste Monitoring Pilot In Abu Dhabi

Tadweer Collection (Tajmee’e), a subsidiary of Tadweer Group, has partnered with EchoTwin AI, a technology firm based in the United States and the UAE. They have initiated a three-month pilot project to integrate AI-powered spatial analytics into waste collection services. This collaboration aims to enhance waste management efficiency and aligns with Tadweer Group's goal of diverting 80% of Abu Dhabi's waste from landfills by 2030.

The pilot will test EchoTwin AI’s CityView Compliance Monitoring Platform, which employs advanced AI techniques like Visual Language Models (VLMs). These models can detect and describe waste conditions in real time, offering insights similar to human reasoning. The platform identifies issues such as overflowing bins and illegal dumping, aiming to improve street-level cleanliness.

Tajmee’e Launches AI Waste Monitoring Pilot

Selected Tajmee’e vehicles across Abu Dhabi will be equipped with this platform to provide better visibility of environmental conditions. This initiative is expected to enhance cleanliness outcomes and operational efficiency. The use of AI in monitoring waste aligns with Abu Dhabi's broader vision for sustainability and technological advancement.

Ashly Alex, CEO of Tajmee’e, stated, "This partnership reflects Tajmee’e’s commitment to innovation and continuous improvement in service delivery. By adopting AI and real-time analytics, we aim to enhance visibility across our operations and improve response times to waste and environmental issues. The initiative also aligns with Abu Dhabi’s wider vision to advance sustainability, operational efficiency, and the use of emerging technologies in environmental management."

Matt Rogers, Executive Director of Technology and Digital at Tadweer Group, emphasized the importance of technology in modernizing waste management. He remarked that this pilot project is a step toward smarter cities by utilizing data analytics and AI for efficient waste monitoring. This effort positions Abu Dhabi as a leader in digital innovation within circular waste management.

EchoTwin AI will handle the installation of AI-enabled hardware on up to five vehicles during the pilot phase. They will also oversee technical implementation and provide comprehensive performance reports upon completion. This collaboration aims to demonstrate how real-time spatial intelligence can revolutionize municipal fleet operations.

Commitment to Cleaner Cities

Chris Carson, CEO of EchoTwin AI, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership: "We are honoured to collaborate with Tajmee’e in this important initiative. Our goal is to demonstrate how real-time spatial intelligence can transform municipal fleet operations, strengthen compliance, and support the development of cleaner, more sustainable cities."

This initiative represents a significant step towards achieving cleaner urban environments through innovative technology solutions. By leveraging advanced AI capabilities, both companies aim to set new standards for waste management practices in Abu Dhabi.
