Taif And Jeddah Set To Host AFC U17 Asian Cup 2025 Starting Tomorrow
The AFC U17 Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2025 will commence tomorrow in Taif and Jeddah. The tournament, scheduled from April 3 to 20, will see 16 teams compete under a new format. Teams reaching the quarter-finals will secure spots in the FIFA U-17 World Cup, which Qatar will host soon.
In January's draw, Saudi Arabia was placed at the top of Group A with Uzbekistan, Thailand, and China. Group B consists of Japan, Australia, Vietnam, and the UAE. Korea leads Group C with Yemen, Afghanistan, and Indonesia. Iran heads Group D alongside Tajikistan, Oman, and North Korea.

Yasser Almisehal, President of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation, welcomed all participating teams who have arrived in the Kingdom for the event. He wished them a pleasant stay and expressed hope for a competitive tournament that showcases Asian football's calibre.
Almisehal highlighted that hosting this championship is part of Saudi Arabia's ongoing efforts to host major sporting events. This initiative underscores the Kingdom's position as a prime location for international sports and football tournaments.
