H.H. Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of G42, led the year-end Board of Directors meeting. The focus was on evaluating the group's progress and strategic plans for 2026 and beyond. The board expressed confidence in G42's management as it advances towards a robust AI-driven economy.
The board, which includes notable members like Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak and Brad Smith, discussed key strategic initiatives. They reviewed milestones achieved throughout 2025, emphasising the importance of these achievements in shaping future directions.

A significant highlight was Microsoft's US$15.2 billion investment in G42. This partnership aims to boost the UAE's leadership in AI and cloud infrastructure. It also focuses on talent development and strengthening technology collaboration between the UAE and the US.
The board stressed the importance of this investment in reinforcing the UAE's role as a trusted bridge in the global intelligence economy. This collaboration is expected to enhance technological advancements and foster deeper ties between nations.
