Tadej Pogačar Clinches Fourth Tour De France Title For UAE Team Emirates-XRG In Paris
Tadej Pogačar celebrated his fourth Tour de France victory on Sunday, finishing fourth on stage 21. The world champion shared this achievement with his UAE Team Emirates-XRG teammates in Paris. This marks the team's fourth title in six years. Pogačar's triumph was notable as he didn't lose any time to the top five competitors from stages 1 to 20.
The UAE Team Emirates-XRG displayed remarkable teamwork throughout the race. Pogačar, supported by his teammates, led the team from Lille to Paris, conquering both the Pyrenees and the Alps. The team concluded their ninth Tour de France with five stage wins, including four by Pogačar and a notable stage 15 win by Tim Wellens.

Pogačar's journey included four memorable stage victories and maintaining a lead over rival Jonas Vingegaard of Visma-Lease a Bike. Despite Vingegaard's determined efforts, including an aggressive attempt on stage 18, he couldn't reclaim his past victories from 2022 and 2023. Vingegaard secured second place overall, while Florian Lipowitz of Red Bull-BORA-hansgrohe finished third.
Pogačar became only the second rider in Tour de France history to not lose time to any of the top five competitors during stages 1-20, following Maurice Garin in 1903. He also claimed the King of the Mountains classification for the third time in his career, showcasing dominance in mountain stages.
The race began with excitement as Pogačar and his team engaged in action-packed racing across Brittany and Normandy. The Slovenian cyclist won a thrilling stage 4 to Rouen and conquered Mûr-de-Bretagne on stage 7. Despite losing a teammate before the first rest day, UAE Team Emirates-XRG rebounded strongly in week two as they entered the Pyrenees.
Memorable Stage Wins
During the second week of racing, Pogačar secured back-to-back victories at Hautacam and Peyragudes. Wellens capped off this successful week with an impressive win on stage 15. These achievements contributed significantly to UAE Team Emirates-XRG's total of 26 stage wins at cycling's grandest event.
In this year's Tour de France, Pogačar wore the Yellow Jersey for 13 stages and stood proudly on the final podium in Paris. His performance was marked by exceptional displays during mountain stages, which helped him secure both the general classification and King of the Mountains titles once again.
UAE Team Emirates-XRG emerged victorious in one of cycling's most prestigious events for the fourth time. Tadej Pogačar completed the 2025 Tour de France with a total time of 76:00:32. He finished ahead of Jonas Vingegaard by 4:24 minutes and Florian Lipowitz by 11:00 minutes.
