Syria To Host Final Championship Of The Emirates Arabian Horse Global Cup In September 2024
The Emirates Arabian Horse Global Cup will conclude with its tenth championship in Damascus, Syria, on 20th and 21st September 2024. This event is under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who holds several key positions including Vice President and Deputy Prime Minister. The championship is organised by the Emirates Arabian Horse Society (EAHS) and overseen by Sheikh Zayed bin Hamad Al Nahyan.
The Saif Al Sham Equestrian Club in Damascus will host this final event, showcasing some of Syria's finest Arabian horses. The organising committee has completed all preparations for this significant championship. Syria is renowned as a natural habitat for purebred Arabian horses, with its desert being the origin of many horse lineages. Historically, Syrian cities have attracted explorers and international missions interested in studying these horses.

The Emirates Arabian Horse Global Cup began last September under the guidance of H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan. It features ten championships held across various continents including the Middle East, Europe, Africa, Australia, South America, and North America. Each championship awards generous monetary prizes to the top five winners.
The first championship of 2024 took place in Australia in February. Bahrain hosted the second event in March, followed by Scottsdale, USA, also in March for the third championship. France was the venue for the fourth event on 1st June, while Denmark hosted the fifth later that month.
Egypt hosted the sixth championship at June's end, and Brazil followed with the seventh in July. Morocco then held the eighth championship from 20th to 21st July. The ninth event took place in the Czech Republic on 23rd August.
This series of events highlights a global appreciation for Arabian horses and their heritage. The championships are coordinated with relevant authorities in each host country to ensure smooth execution and adherence to local regulations.
The Emirates Arabian Horse Global Cup not only celebrates these majestic animals but also strengthens cultural ties between participating nations through shared equestrian interests.
