Sustainable City In Dubai Partners With 1 Billion Followers Summit 2026 To Promote Sustainability And Creativity
The 1 Billion Followers Summit, a major event for the content creation industry, has announced The Sustainable City in Dubai as its Platinum Partner for the fourth edition. This city is the Middle East's first fully integrated, sustainable community, powered by solar energy. The summit, organised by the UAE Government Media Office, will occur from 9th to 11th January 2026 at Emirates Towers, DIFC, and the Museum of the Future.
This partnership highlights a shared commitment to promoting creativity and advancing "Content for Good." It aims to empower content creators to refine their skills according to global best practices. The collaboration also underscores a belief in fostering partnerships that drive innovation across the digital ecosystem. Both entities are dedicated to promoting purposeful creativity and responsible content creation.

Khadija Hussain, Executive Director of Government Communication at the UAE Government Media Office and deputy CEO of the Summit, stated: "Our partnership with The Sustainable City in Dubai reflects the Summit’s dedication to promoting purposeful and responsible creativity, and to leveraging the power of content creation in advancing strategic causes such as sustainability and quality of life. Smart and sustainable cities represent an inspiring model of what the future can be."
The collaboration is a strategic step toward enabling content creators to adopt positive environmental narratives supporting UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It aims to highlight projects that promote sustainability within communities. Faris Saeed, Founder and Chairman of SEE Holding, expressed delight in being a Platinum Partner. He emphasised integrating sustainability principles into digital content.
He added: "Through this partnership, we look forward to integrating sustainability principles into digital content and highlighting the next generation of smart and sustainable cities that are driven by advanced technologies and artificial intelligence. These cities place people at the heart of design and planning to achieve net-zero emissions and enhance quality of life."
Showcasing Green Urban Development
The summit offers The Sustainable City a global platform to showcase its pioneering green urban development experience. This opportunity reinforces the UAE's position as a hub for sustainable development and innovation. The city spans five million square feet in DubaiLand, featuring urban farms and green facilities that significantly reduce carbon footprints compared to traditional housing.
The city promotes walking, cycling, and electric vehicles instead of cars. This makes it a practical model for future smart cities. Powered by clean solar energy, it harmonises social, economic, and environmental sustainability. The partnership aims to raise public awareness about environmental issues while enhancing smart cities' role in empowering content creators.
Faris Saeed further mentioned: "We also aim to encourage content creators to embrace impactful environmental and social messages that align with the UAE’s vision to achieve Net Zero by 2050." This aligns with efforts to foster a more conscious community towards environmental responsibility.
The collaboration between The Sustainable City in Dubai and the 1 Billion Followers Summit reflects their joint commitment to advancing sustainable creativity. It aims to empower content creators while promoting eco-friendly innovations globally. Through this partnership, they seek to inspire positive societal change through creative digital narratives focused on sustainability.
