Supply Chain And Logistics Conference In Riyadh Sees Signing Of Agreements Worth SAR 8.3 Billion

The Supply Chain and Logistics Conference 2024 wrapped up in Riyadh on Monday. The event, under the patronage of Minister of Transport and Logistic Services Eng. Saleh bin Nasser Al-Jasser, spanned two days. It attracted ministers, senior officials, and industry leaders from both global and local supply chain sectors.

Participants included heads of authorities and institutions from promising fields in both public and private sectors. The conference aimed to enhance supply chains and logistics services. A significant outcome was the signing of 91 agreements valued at SAR 8.3 billion to boost supply chain operations and efficiency.

Agreements Worth SAR 8.3 Billion Signed at Conference

The conference underscored Saudi Arabia's leadership in improving supply-chain operations, aligning with the Saudi Vision 2030 goals for global competitiveness. It emphasized the role of artificial intelligence (AI), data analytics, and digital innovation in supporting logistics services.

Specialized lectures covered various aspects of global supply-chain movements. An exhibition ran concurrently, featuring 65 international and local companies alongside eight specialized workshops. These sessions explored the latest trends to enhance supply-chain performance.

The event highlighted the importance of strong economic foundations for developing business sectors and supply chains. It aimed to expand investment opportunities, strengthen partnerships with the private sector, and showcase Saudi Arabia's pivotal role in global supply chains.

Efforts were made to refine export strategies to support the national economy further. The conference sought to solidify Saudi Arabia's position as a global logistics hub, serving as a key link between three continents.

The gathering also focused on exploring new global trends to improve logistics work. By doing so, it aimed to develop supply-chain operations that would bolster the Kingdom's economic standing on an international scale.
