Sultan Bin Sulayem Opens New Headquarters For Ports, Customs, And Free Zone Corporation In Dubai Maritime City
The Ports, Customs, and Free Zone Corporation (PCFC) has opened its new headquarters in Dubai Maritime City. Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, Chairman of PCFC, led the inauguration. This facility is designed to symbolise progress and enhance Dubai's status as a global business hub. It houses over 1,500 employees and serves more than 300 clients daily. The site also includes a parking structure with over 700 spaces.
During the ceremony, Sultan bin Sulayem highlighted the significance of this new milestone in PCFC's journey, which started in 1886 with the Furda Department overseeing trade and customs. He stated, "Today, we celebrate the opening of this headquarters – a model of innovation and sustainability." The building prioritises employee comfort while improving service efficiency for clients.

The headquarters is located at Mina Rashid, one of Dubai's historic ports. Its modern design meets gold-level LEED standards for sustainable buildings. Certified by the US Green Building Council (USGBC), it aims to improve indoor environmental quality, reduce water use, and boost energy efficiency. Bin Sulayem emphasised that the building reflects PCFC's forward-thinking vision.
Nasser Al Neyadi, CEO of PCFC, expressed that this opening marks the start of further achievements for the Corporation both locally and globally. He noted that this initiative aligns with their vision for digital transformation and corporate excellence. Extensive efforts ensured the project's timely completion.
The inauguration included a tour led by Sultan bin Sulayem through various facilities such as the Museum, Library, Happiness Council, Innovation Quay, and employee offices. Additionally, PCFC introduced a custom musical tune and exclusive fragrances named after major ports like Rashid, Hamriyah, and Jebel Ali.
Bin Sulayem described the new headquarters as an architectural icon at Mina Rashid. He said it embodies PCFC's core values while reinforcing Dubai's position as a global business hub. The building is designed to meet high standards of energy efficiency and environmental quality.
The event was attended by notable figures including Nasser Al Neyadi; Dr. Abdullah Busenad from Dubai Customs; Abdullah bin Damithan from DP World; Ahmed bin Sulayem from Dubai Multi Commodities Centre; along with board members, strategic partners, and employees from various units.
This development signifies a commitment to progress while maintaining traditions rooted in history. As PCFC continues its journey from its beginnings in 1886 to today’s innovations, it remains focused on enhancing service delivery and employee well-being within an environmentally friendly framework.
